  1. UNZIP41.ZIP    Generic Unix unzip v4.1 for free public distribution
  2. UNZIP41.ARC    Same as above, but .ARC format
  3. UNZIP41.TAR-Z    Same as above, but compressed tar format
  4. UNZ_41P.ZIP    Patches to create v4.1 from v4.07

  6. A public distribution version of the Info-ZIP project's generic
  7. Unix unzip utility.

  9. This version of unzip has been ported to a wide array of Unix and
  10. other mainframes, minis, and micros (to include MSDOS, Atari ST (kinda),
  11. and Macintosh).  Although highly compatible with Phil Katz's PKZIP
  12. and PKUNZIP utilities of MSDOS fame, our objective has been one of
  13. portability and other-than-MSDOS functionality.

  16. how to compile for your system.

  18. See unzip.1 or unzip.man for usage.  (No, there isn't a manual per se.
  19. There's plenty of space on the Info-ZIP staff for a volunteer!)

  21. If you confirm a clean compile and execution on a unique system
  22. (e.g., one different from those in the Makefile), please provide
  23. Info-ZIP via E-Mail with details as to your system type, any changes
  24. required, what Makefile system was used, etc.

  27. files only, please) with explanation as appropriate.

  34. Information on commercial usage, licensing, etc. is NOT available.
  35. We at Info-ZIP are currently researching how to best handle this
  36. problem.  (There are potential copyright problems.)  So don't bug us.
  37. We have little interest in commercial developers, and by Internet
  38. rules, are forbidden to discuss such filthy topics in any case.
